China is in this for the long haul and as their leaders have stated regarding the current trade war, they will "fight to the end" to ensure the success of the Chinese Communist Party. In China, the communist party is god and is trying to present itself as such.
Every citizen is being given a "social credit score" which will determine how "good" you are in the eyes of the communist party and the officially atheist government. Everything from who you are friends with to what you buy, what you say and what you do is being watched and judged. Not buying Made in China products sends your score down. Why? Because the communist party of china is not making money from products made in other countries...it wants a complete monopoly on world trade and has launched a massive program called Made in China 2025 in order to accomplish it.
This is why the trade talks with America are so important. President Trump presents a challenge to a world ruled by the communist party and its curbs on freedoms. Whether its freedom of navigation in the South China Sea or other parts of the world, freedom of aviation, religious freedom, freedom of speech or other freedoms, America has always been a promoter of these freedoms while the Chinese government led by the communist party has gone in the opposite direction.
Ultimately, the "China Dream" will become the China Nightmare not only for it's citizens but also for it's neighbors. This will result in war as we see it. The Party's greatest fear is going down in history like the Soviet Union did, without a fight. They are preparing to fight.
However, President Trump, unlike previous presidents both democrat and republican is up to the challenge presented by China and is determined to make things right. It starts with trade but expands into the political and military realms as well.
China and America are engaged in a battle of epic proportions for the 21st century. It has been described as the Unstoppable Force vs. the Immovable Object. I'm betting on the Immovable Object, however the two will have consequences which will impact the world for generations to come.
Ultimately freedom wins.
The main geopolitical reason for this is simply that China has only one Ocean in which to extend its power. The other direction China faces, away from the Pacific is filled with the largest mountains in the world, desert and Islam. America is in a unique geopolitical position in the world for a reason: To expand freedom in both directions East and West by using its direct access to both the Pacific and the Atlantic in order to do that. Even Russia, the largest country in the world is left with a small sliver of the Pacific and the Cold Arctic to its north. Geopolitics play a role in expanding freedom and China led by the communist party is trying to end that but the geopolitical realities it faces will render that impossible. President Trump claimed during his campaign that America has "all the cards" but we need to play them right. So far so good but the card game isn't over and our adversaries have been used to having a president that has a terrible poker face unlike Trump who intentionally keeps everyone on their toes with his unpredictable strategies.
