North Korea again threatened to walk away from the June 12th meetings, this time attacking Vice President Mike Pence.
North Korea's new found boldness is a direct result of China's new found support for the regime in the face of either a unified Korean Peninsula with South Korea's democratic, capitalist, largely Christian population as the model or an American led invasion of North Korea, either of which is not acceptable to the communist party led government of China.
North Korea even went as far this time to threaten again a nucelar to nuclear showdown if its demands are not met.
The North is now trying to fix all blame for a future failure to meet on the U.S. and the Trump administration.
The Trump administration says that it wants a complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement (CVID) of North Korea's nuclear program, with no promise of concessions until that process is in motion. The North reportedly wants a much more slower, phased and synchronous approach. Apparently they also do not want any inspectors either as none are being invited for the "closing ceremony" scheduled for the end of May.
Increasing signs that this meeting will not take place.
